Shagreened Slug Moth (Apoda biguttata)

Apoda biguttata is found in deciduous forests of eastern North America, from the Great Lakes to Nova Scotia, south to Texas and northern Florida. The wingspan is 19-30 mm. Adults fly from March to September. The larvae feeds on leaves of Blue-beech or Hornbeam (Carpinus caroliniana), oak (Quercus spp.), and hickories (Carya spp.).
